This Privacy Policy describes how Yotta Design ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website yottadesign.com, our customer portal at portal.yottadesign.com, and our short-link service yotta.fyi (together, the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
- Personal Information: This may include your name, email address, and any other information you voluntarily provide to us.
- Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you use the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the Site.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to collect information and enhance your experience on the Site. See "Analytics and Advertising" below.
- Information You Submit in Forms: When you use our contact, questionnaire, or support forms, we receive what you type (such as your name, email address, phone number, and message). We use it to respond to you, store it securely, and email it to our team. We do not send the contents of forms to our analytics tools.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Site.
- To personalize your experience on the Site.
- To communicate with you (emails, newsletters, or other communications you have opted into).
- To analyze and improve the Site.
Analytics and Advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the Site so we can improve it. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you visit, the links and buttons you click, how far you scroll, whether you start or submit a form (but not what you enter), the website, search, or ad that brought you here, your device and browser type, and your approximate location. Google Analytics does not log or store your IP address. It uses first-party cookies (such as _ga) to recognize returning visitors. We keep analytics data for up to 14 months.
We may also use Google Ads to advertise our services and to measure how well our ads work. If we do, Google may use cookies and similar identifiers to show our ads and to measure the results. We do not sell your personal information.
You can limit this tracking at any time:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Manage ad personalization in your Google Ad Settings.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. When we detect it, we turn off advertising personalization signals for your visit.
Google's own practices are described in the Google Privacy & Terms page.
Customer Portal Sign-In
Clients sign in to the customer portal with Google or with a one-time link we email to them. We do not store passwords. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a confirmation from Google that your email address is verified. We use this only to match you to the account Yotta Design created for you. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and work only once. We keep a record of when you last signed in and how (Google or email link).
Short Links and QR Codes (yotta.fyi)
Our clients use yotta.fyi to create short links and QR codes. When you open one of these links or scan one of these codes, we record the click so the client who created it can see how it performs. Each click record includes the date and time, the link that was used, whether it came from a QR code, your approximate location (country, region, and city), your device type, operating system, and browser, and the website that referred you (the domain only, not the full address).
We do not store your IP address. To count unique visitors, we create a one-way code from your IP address and browser information, mixed with a secret value that changes every day. This code cannot be turned back into your IP address, and you get a new one each day, so it cannot be used to follow you over time. yotta.fyi does not set cookies or use advertising trackers.
Detailed click records are kept for three months. After that we keep only daily totals. The client who created a link can see these statistics for their own links only. A short link takes you to a website chosen by our client, and that website's own privacy policy applies once you arrive.
How We Share Your Information
- Service Providers who help us operate the Site, including Google (analytics, advertising, and sign-in), Cloudflare (which runs yotta.fyi and stores its click records), our hosting provider, and our email provider.
- Business Partners for marketing or promotional purposes.
- Other parties when required by law or to protect our rights.
Your Choices
You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but this may limit your ability to use certain features of the Site. You can also opt out of receiving marketing emails from us by following the unsubscribe instructions in the emails, if any.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
Children's Privacy
The Site is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the Site. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
